    New sponsor inventory

New inventory your sponsor deck does not have today.

You price it. You keep it.

Every car show sponsor deck we could find sells the same things: banners, shirts, a tent, a program ad, a DJ mention. Not one lists the screen 100,000 people are staring at all weekend. The app opens on a full-screen "presented by" splash, carries a sponsor pill under every map, pins every booth, and sends blasts you approve. Then it hands the sponsor a report with real numbers, which is the thing that gets them to renew.

Spectators, car owners, promoters and the office.

The same show data on every screen. A spectator taps space 214, the owner of 214 renewed it from his phone last Sunday, the promoter released the spaces that were not renewed on Monday at 10am, and the office watched the money land.

    The promoter hub

The city paperwork, in one place, with the deadlines doing the counting.

A 1,000-car downtown show touches the city, the police, fire, EMS, Caltrans, ABC, county environmental health and a private security contractor. Today that lives in a spreadsheet, a shared drive and someone's memory. The hub gives every deadline an agency, a lead time and an owner.

Setup, a small monthly, the show weekend. Your sponsor money stays yours.

Four plans by show size. Setup pays for building your map and importing last year's owners. The monthly runs only while registration is open. The weekend fee is when we are on call and watching it live. Year two renews at 50 to 60 percent of setup, because the map already exists.

    $2.50

Per registration, paid by the car owner at checkout, on every plan. It shows as a line item the same way every ticketing site adds a fee, so it never appears in your budget and it is never negotiated. Money goes straight to your account through Stripe Connect; refunds and chargebacks stay yours.

    Never negotiated
How the conversation goes "Setup is $3,500. While your registration is open it is $300 a month. Show weekend, when we are on call and watching it live, is $3,500. Car owners pay $2.50 at checkout. Your package includes an Official App presented by sponsor slot, and you set its price. At our demo show the app was on 41,207 phones, the first sponsor blast was opened by 63 percent, the booth passport logged 2,904 scans and 1,140 people opted in to hear from a sponsor. That is the report your title sponsor gets on Monday."
    Show weekend

How it stays up when 100,000 people open it.

Not on a rented server. A single server is the thing that falls over when everyone walks through the gate at 9am, and someone has to be awake to fix it. The spectator app is a set of files, and files are the easiest thing on the internet to hand out.

CDN, hundreds of servers map, 1,000 cars, sponsor art about 1 MB of static files no practical request limit Managed database registrations, scans, votes, blasts adds capacity by itself tens of dollars a weekend The phone keeps a copy of everything GPS works with no signal installed from the QR at the gate downloads once at the gate votes and blasts queue until signal Status page, one named on-call person printed fallbacks and a contract credit The real risk is the cell network QR at every gate, gate WiFi at the biggest shows
Static files on a content delivery network

Copies of the map and every car sit on hundreds of servers around the country. There is nothing to crash and no bill that scales with the crowd.

    The phone keeps a copy

The first open from the QR code at the gate saves the map and all 1,000 cars. After that it works with no signal at all. GPS does not need cell service.

    Live parts on managed services

Registrations, check-in scans, votes and blasts run on a managed database and managed functions. Capacity is added automatically when traffic spikes. A show weekend costs tens of dollars, not thousands.

    Blasts and votes queue

They are tiny messages. They wait on the phone and send when there is signal, so a jammed tower at the beach loses nothing.

    What the weekend fee buys

A status page, one named on-call person, a readiness check the week before, printed fallbacks generated by the app, and a contract credit if we ever go down.

The California car show permit checklist

Twenty-nine items, the agency that owns each one, when it is due and what it typically costs, built from the published rules of four California cities and one county. The same list runs the Permits tab in the promoter hub.

Enter your name and a working email address.

No mailing list tricks. We send the checklist and, once, an offer for a demo.

✓Thank you. The checklist is on its way, and here it is now.

Lead times and fees are typical ranges from published city fee schedules; your city will differ. Confirm every date with the special events coordinator.

    Twenty minutes

    Book a 20-minute demo

We open the working model on your phone, tap a car, walk to it, send a blast, and walk through the sponsor inventory you could add to your deck. Promoters plan September to February, so the best time to look is now, for next season.

Enter your name and a working email address.
✓Thank you. We will reply within one business day with two times.

Bring the phone you show sponsors on. Twenty minutes is enough to see the splash, the map, a blast and the sponsor report.

Placeholder form for the demo site. Nothing was sent anywhere.

    The ten objections

What promoters ask, and what we say.

Our sponsors buy banners, not apps.

They buy the crowd. The app puts the sponsor's own wordmark on the screen every spectator opens all weekend and hands them a report with numbers. No car show deck sells that today. You price it, you keep it, and the report shows the sponsor what they got.

It will crash when 100,000 people open it.

The spectator app is static files on a content delivery network, with the live parts on managed services that scale on their own. There is no single server to fall over. See the show weekend section above.

Cell service at our venue is terrible.

Correct, and that is the risk we design for. Everything is saved on the phone at first open, GPS works without signal, and blasts and votes queue until a bar comes back. QR codes at the gates and on the dash cards get the first open done before the crowd builds.

Our owners are 70 and will not use an app.

Registration works from a laptop link, an assisted line at the tent, and a paper dash card printed from the same record. The owner never has to install anything. The spectators do, and they already have the phone out.

    Who holds the money?

You do. Stripe Connect pays registrations straight into your account and takes our $2.50 automatically. Refunds and chargebacks are yours, and the contract says so.

Expensive cars on a public map with owner names is a theft risk.

First name only, hometown optional, no plates, and locations are hidden after the show closes. The owner controls what spectators see, car by car.

    Owners already suspect the judging.

Weighted rubric, conflict checks, highest and lowest scores dropped, and every owner gets their scoresheet. People's Choice is one vote per phone per car with a minimum number of ratings before a car can rank, so two 5-star votes never beat three hundred at 4.8.

We already have a website and a registration form.

Keep the website. The app embeds in it: the live map, the registration button, the sponsor logos and the QR to install. Last year's owners import from a spreadsheet, and grandfathered spaces come with them.

People will not download another app.

They do not. It installs from a QR code as a web app on iPhone and Android, no app store, no account. Web event apps see 71 to 90 percent adoption against 48 to 60 for store apps.

Our venue is not a grid. Nobody can map it.

The map builder starts from your aerial photo. Set the scale by clicking two points, trace the curbs, and the numbered spaces appear rotated to the street, angled, parallel or head-in. A pier, a fairground loop and a parking lot are all templates. We build the first one for you as part of setup.

    Same engine, different skin

Things in numbered spaces on a map, people who pay for a space, a crowd that wants to find those things, sponsors who want the crowd, and a promoter drowning in paperwork. That describes more than car shows. Also for:
